Set against the decaying beauty of Southern California’s Salton Sea, Big Rage is a gripping gay noir action thriller blending the gritty essence of Chinatown with the intrigue of The Big Sleep. Former fighters Chad and Clarke, haunted by past mistakes, cross paths in a desperate bid to secure the nation’s future. As they battle crime and corruption in a lawless lithium boomtown, their clashes turn to camaraderie, and ultimately, love. The film delivers high-octane action, from visceral hand-to-hand combat to explosive desert showdowns. Fabian Arnold (Chad) underwent intense combat training to bring realism to the fight choreography.
Beyond the screen, Big Rage extends its storytelling through a stunning artistic shoot by renowned photographer Tony Duran, whose portfolio includes Jennifer Lopez, Beyoncé, Tom Cruise, and Brad Pitt. Duran’s moody, symbolic portraits capture Chad and Clarke’s journey from rage to redemption, mirroring the film’s noir aesthetic and emotional depth. Powell is an award-winning actor and director with a diverse career.
